Although she doesn’t do as many costume changes as Ms. Turner, Raya’s passion and deep emotions for the blues makes her performances worth watching. Raya’s life motto is “you gotta pay your dues if you want to sing the blues” or “Don't Do The Crime If You Can't Pay The Time.”

He plays a Benge "Claude Gordon" model trumpet, Shilkie 14A4A and GR 62e mouthpieces. He plays a wide range of genres from classical, jazz, funk, reggae, rock, and all combinations mixed together.

Jesse Mathews – Trumpet, Flute and Horn Section Transcriber and Arranger
Jesse Mathews is a green-chile-and-tortilla-fed gringo from the Pecos River Valley of New Mexico. He might be young enough to be the adopted son of all the other members of the Tribe, but can hang with them nonetheless. Jesse took to music at a young age and decided he wanted to become a school band director when he grew up (yes, that’s his day job now). He is a closet jazz pianist and composer. When Mr. Mathews isn’t teaching kids or playin’ the blues, he is playing with the San Jose Wind Symphony. As well as playing a hot ‘n’ spicy trumpet, he sure does enjoy a hot ‘n’ spicy meal. He has eaten and collected hot sauce from all over the world and has won numerous pepper-eating contests. Sorry ladies, but Jesse already has a hot mama who is also a musician.
